Opportunity: ADD-RHD Global Health Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital seeks 3 highly motivated postdoctoral researchers interested in developing, deploying, or evaluating technology-enhanced population and global health to join our interdisciplinary research team for a 2-year research fellowship position.The Research Fellows will join a collaborative “Strategically Focused Research Network” Center, a 4-year research grant from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Reach Partners with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on RHD Secondary Prevention Research Project

Rural Ugandan Village. Reach is delighted to be part of the newly funded AHA Strategically Focused Research Network (SFRN) on Health Technologies and Innovation. Four research teams from across the United States will form the SFRN and work on developing breakthrough technology solutions to improve health outcomes related to heart and brain health.

Inaugural Meeting of the WHO EMRO Regional Expert Network on Rheumatic Heart Disease

Reach, in partnership with the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO EMRO) co-hosted the inaugural meeting of the Regional Expert Network (REN) on Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) in Amman, Jordan from December 16th to 17th 2019.

Reach Team Visits Montes Claros, Brazil

Two Reach representatives, Dr Sophie La Vincente and Jessica Abrams, traveled to Montes Claros to meet with the team there who have been training health agents and nurses on a patient education tool entitled “Introduction to Rheumatic Fever and Rheumatic Heart Disease”. Following on from a pilot phase of health team training and their use of the flipchart with the local community, Sophie and Jessica spent time conducting focus group discussions to receive feedback from the health agents and nurses.
